The Washington / Franklin Identifier ( WFID for short ) is another innovation from SoftPro. What we hope we have accomplished is the
development of an easy to use, graphical identifier to help you identify your Washington / Franklin stamps.

Using the WFID : You must be on EzStamp 7.10b or higher & have an activation code OR
                               you must purchase the WFID stand alone version ( $24.99 on CD-ROM ).

To start the WFID, use Ctl+W while running EzStamp ( hold down the Ctrl & W keys ) or Click on
the desktop shortcut for the stand alone version.
Using the WFID is easy . Only two things are mandatory - the Design ( Washington or Franklin ) and the denomination.

• Step 1:  Select the Appropriate Design

Simply click on the Image of Washington or Franklin and the
rest of the screen is displayed with all the available options.
Once selected, the vignette will be Blackened to highlight which
option you chose. At any time you can switch between
the Washingtons or Franklins
 
• Step 2:  Select the Appropriate Denomination


Simply  select one of the denominations from the drop down selection by clicking on the arrow at the right of the selection list.Once selected, the first 14 stamps that match the criteria you chose will be displayed for you in the Thumbnail Viewer. Both the image and catalog number will be displayed. Either the SCOTT # or MINKUS # will be displayed for you depending on the Sort order you have set in EzStamp . At any time, you can LEFT CLICK on any image & that image will be brought up for you in EzStamp, ready to be inventoried.
• Step 3:  It's up to you . . .

You can now select on ANY of the other criteria to identify your stamp. You can select from Perforation, Watermark, Print Method,
Design Size, Design Type & Stamp Format ( Coils, Booklets, Sheet stamps ). After each selection, the matching stamps that meet your criteria are updated & displayed. The total # of matches is displayed on screen for you as well until you identify your stamp!  Have fun!
 

You can clear the search by clicking on the Erase Icon ( looks like a pencil with an Eraser on it ), so you can perform another search.

If you select criteria that have no matches ( ie a 3c Franklin ), a warning message is displayed for you identifying which criteria
is invalid.

It's that simple! We have added very high resolution scans of the different types ( type I, II, III etc ) to allow you to easily identify the
different 2c and 3c Washingtons !!
